Our little son was in a hurry to come into this world. He was born prematurely at 36 weeks. Right away, we were faced with a whole list of diagnoses that devastated us. We were very worried about his future.

Maciuś suffers from pervasive developmental disorders and generalized joint hypermobility. He also has flat-valgus feet. From his first moments, we have fought to ensure, despite these issues, his proper development, support, and a chance at functionality.

Until the age of six, our son was involved in early developmental support at the Early Intervention and Development Support Center in Gdańsk and Gdynia, and later at the WYSPA Therapy Center, because he was lagging behind the developmental norm. His speech was very delayed, he was poorly developing in the motor area, and he had problems with running, walking, and maintaining balance.

The flat-valgus feet diagnosed in our son cause excessive internal rotation and contribute to improper pelvic alignment, spinal rotation in the lumbar and thoracic regions, asymmetry of the shoulder girdle, and joint hypermobility.

Currently, Maciek attends 10-day sessions that take place every six months. According to specialists, our son still requires intensive and prolonged support and stimulation of his development through rehabilitation. Unfortunately, our family budget is not sufficient to provide Maciek with everything he needs. We must ask for help.
