Fundraiser description

The illness has derailed my plans, my dreams, and my visions for a while. These complications forced me to give up and put aside everything I dreamed of as a teenager. Since then, I have had one top priority: to fight for the future and not to be defeated by the disease. Never.

I had my first surgery when I was 17. It was supposed to be a usual procedure, and my parents were assured at the time that I would get back into shape quickly. Unfortunately, some complications happened afterward and post-surgery problems made me spend two months in intensive care. This was a very dark period for me. Somehow I was able to wake up from this nightmare...

Frankly, I'd like to forget what happened next. It's best to erase this time and start it all over again. But life is not a game, there is no “undo” option, unfortunately. I finally realized that and started to treat the illness as a challenge that I had to take so that my life was not a scrap of memories from the past, just a usual vegetative state. I went to high school, I went to college, and recently I got my master's degree. Unfortunately, despite my strong will, commitment, and huge plans, I still have problems ahead of me.

Magdalena Krawczyk

In 2008, I had to deal with a serious issue. The illness struck me very seriously, and I was forced to switch to a wheelchair since my legs didn't behave completely. The years have passed, and I'm still riding an old wheelchair that doesn't help me much with my needs. But without it, I'd be dependent on others. I can't leave the house alone, I can't make any plans, I can't discover other cards without my wheelchair. Unfortunately, the price of a new, refillable, dream "car" is too high for my budget alone. For me and my family, it's just unattainable. And if you add to that a year of specialist rehabilitation that protects me from pain is an amount that makes me dizzy. I've reached a point where there's no turning back. So I am asking for your help. You can give me a chance to live and give me a chance to be independent again.

Despite the illness, even though I wasn't given a chance, I took the fight, I put everything on the line. I have a strong faith in a bright future anyway. And this future currently is in the hands of good people. It's up to you - whether or not the illness will take away my chances and my hope for the future. My dream is to share knowledge with others, I want to teach at the university, to meet people, to show everyone, including the disabled people in the first place, that positive attitude is extremely important in the process of fighting the disease. Without my positive thinking and winning attitude, I would probably have given up forever and locked myself in four walls. Well, I'm not that kind. I'm a fighter. I know that pain will always be a part of my life, that there is no hope of me getting back on my feet. But I also know that the world doesn't end there, and I still have a lot of work to do. Life is not lost for me. Especially if you decide to help me in my battle.

I know this situation could have affected anyone. There are moments in a person's life that change absolutely everything. Illness has taught me that fate can always turn away from you, that nothing can be certain.

And I, however, am sure of one thing - I will find people to help me no matter what. Because I believe in the good.

And you can give me a chanсe, will you?

Thank you very much for your help in advance!
