URGENT❗️"I really want to live!" - help Gosia win the fight against cancer!

My name is Gosia and I am 58 years old. I am a loving wife, a caring mother of two sons and soon, a grandmother of my first, longed-for grandson. Until recently, I had been living a normal, happy life. Now, each day is a fight against the disease, and I cannot win without help provided by good people. For this reason, with all my heart, I am asking – please, read my story and help me win this fight!

It all started during Christmas. I fell down and was admitted to hospital. The tests revealed a tumour in my pelvis that was around 10 cm – a sarcoma was suspected. It came to me as a shock! A couple weeks later I heard the first diagnosis: bone sarcoma which may be treated only with a radical amputation of the left leg with a part of pelvis, preceded by a very aggressive and debilitating chemotherapy.

However, after the next biopsy, the diagnosis changed: sarcomatoid carcinoma of the pelvic bone – very rare and even more aggressive cancer. My world fell apart...Hospitals, series of radiotherapy and many privately paid diagnostic tests became my reality... Unfortunately, my treatment plan has changed – the radical approach changed status to palliative care, focused on the observation of the tumour. I am scared that in this scenario, metastases are only a matter of time.

In Poland, there are no other treatment options for me. Currently, my only chance is combination therapy in a specialist oncological facility in Israel or Austria where the doctors are experienced in treating this type of cancer. It carries great hope and constitutes the only chance but I am unable to cover the cost of it.

I want to be able to walk my beloved son down the aisle. I want to hold my longed-for grandson’s hand, sing him a lullaby and tell him how much I love him. I want to be with my family now when they need me so much.

So today, I am asking for your help, with all my heart. Each zloty, each good word and each good thought is not only a real chance for my treatment but also gives me strength to continue this fight. I really want to live!
