My Friend Małgosia is a poetic person, full of great charm and grace, curious about everything around her, kind and empathetic towards people and animals. Once, I asked her husband what it was like to be with someone like her: “It sometimes happens ,” he replied, “that we get a rare gift of love from someone unusual. The rest remains a mystery. "

She has been suffering from cancer for eight years, but has never complained. Full of optimism, she has supported others around her with her inner strength. For many years, working as the Consul of the Republic of Poland in Ireland and then in the USA, she helped Poles abroad to solve all difficult problems. Now she herself needs help.

She underwent many severe therapies that brought remission for two years. Unfortunately, over a year ago she was diagnosed with a relapsing aggressive tumor for which no cure or remedy had yet been found. Polish oncologists could do nothing but throw their hands up. We were left with nothing but waiting for death.

Luckily, this year, an innovative medicine for this very type of cancer has just been approved in the US. It is a great chance for her, but unfortunately, the drug is not yet available in Europe. It's very expensive. The cost of one treatment cycle is PLN 97,200, and the entire therapy amounts to PLN 388,800.

If the treatment starts straightaway, there will still be a chance to save her life.
