I am Marcin, and I want to share my story with you. In October 2023, I had a serious car accident. I suffered from diffuse axonal injury, a type of traumatic brain injury that affected the frontal lobe, corpus callosum, and brain stem. 

As a result, I spent weeks in the ICU, followed by another couple of weeks of intense physical therapy. Although I regained consciousness and partial control over my body, I developed left hemiplegia and speech disorder. My left arm is limp, and so is my left leg, although the latter is in a slightly better condition. 

The accident changed my life by 180 degrees - it affected my job, my friendships, and my family life. I lost the ability to work, and performing basic activities became challenging. I have to learn everything from the beginning. 

However, I am determined to regain my abilities and believe in the effectiveness of regular physical therapy. The daily exercises I have performed with the help of my family for the last month have already brought results! There is still a long path to recovery ahead of me, though. 

The waiting time for admission to the rehabilitation center is longer than the physical therapy. What's more, their rehabilitation program is insufficient. 

The only solution for me is at least a one-year stay in a private rehabilitation center. Unfortunately, it is expensive, and I cannot afford it! That is why I decided to ask you for support.
