Treatment in Israel – my chance at life

In October 2024, I received a diagnosis that turned my life upside down – Burkitt lymphoma. It's one of the rarest and most aggressive cancers – if left untreated, it can double in size in just a single day.

Since then, my life has revolved around hospital walls. For the past six months, I’ve undergone intensive chemotherapy – the strongest that  oncology has to offer. Unfortunately, in April, a PET scan showed that the treatment didn’t work – part of the cancer survived and started growing again.

My hope – treatment in Israel

In Europe, treatment options for my case have run out. My best chance of beating the disease is a cutting-edge CAR-T therapy, which is commercially available in Israel. It’s a next-generation immunotherapy that offers real hope where traditional chemotherapy fails.

I’m already in Tel Aviv and have begun treatment. The first stage (around 2 months) includes radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and CAR-T therapy. The cost of this treatment is 500,000–600,000 PLN. I will most likely need further treatment (additional immunotherapy, radiotherapy, or a transplant) what may double the bill. I'm covering the costs with my savings, but the situation is very dynamic, and the hospital cannot currently estimate the full duration or cost of the treatment, which is why I decided to seek support.
