Save my beloved MUM’S life❗️She is fighting with glioma!

My mother Maria is 65 years old. She had been working as a teacher her whole life and this year she was meant to retire peacefully. But the fate had other plans...Today my mother has to fight for her life! As a daughter I sincerely ask You – help me save her!

In August, she experienced some disturbing symptoms: she started having memory disorders and could smell strange fragrances. The diagnosis on the neurosurgery ward came as a shock to us – brain tumour and the worst possible type of it: glioblastoma multiforme, grade 4. All plans went to ashes in an instance. We had to entirely change our lives and adapt to the fight with this terrible disease.

It was a blow to the whole family, especially to my grandmother Teresa who is advanced in years and cannot understand why something like this happened to her daughter. My grandmother still believes in my mother’s recovery and that she will able to enjoy her life for many years to come. I also believe this to be true and I do not intend to give up. 

My mother’s tumour was removed during a surgery and now she undergoes a standard treatment in an oncology centre. She receives chemotherapy and undergoes a cycle of radiotherapy. A doctor from the hospital told me about an innovative immunotherapy in a German clinic in Cologne. Unfortunately, there is no reimbursement for it, and the costs exceed our financial capabilities. But I have to try everything so that my mum lives!

The basic therapy costs around 250,000 PLN, and we also have to cover the expenses for transport and accommodation in Cologne. My grandmother and I cannot cover these costs on our own and that is why we are asking for Your help. Each amount is significant, it gives us hope and will allow my mother to continue the fight for her life.

My mother is very grateful for being surrounded with caring and thoughtful people. Meetings with You allow her to think about other things than the disease. It is very important for us.
