A horrible disease takes our son’s breath, destroys our lives! Let’s save Mark from SMA!

URGENT! The life of our beloved Mark is in grave danger! Hope has been brutally taken away from us. At one moment we, parents of a seemingly healthy child, found ourselves in a trap from which we are unable to get out ourselves. We are scared. On the one hand, fear deprives us of our strength to fight, on the other hand, it motivates us even more. We heard a diagnosis that knocked us off our feet. We hugged our son's tiny body, refusing to believe in what we’ve just heard ... SMA Type 1 - spinal muscular atrophy.

26 days. It's not even a month. Those have been 26 days of enjoying parenthood, living blissfully unaware of our son’s horrible disease. We were so happy, with Mark being born our everyday life finally made sense, we had a great goal to raise a good person. Subconsciously, we felt that something was wrong, we knew we had to consult a doctor, but we were afraid of what we would hear. We still had some faint hope almost to the very end, until we stood face to face with the doctor. We thought it was a temporary muscle weakness that could be treated by a regular physiotherapist. Today we already know that our son will need rehabilitation for the rest of his life ...

We will never forget the face of the doctor who told these terrible news. The diagnosis itself was not so fearful, we were terrified by the consequences of the disease ... Every day our son will lose every possible muscle. Mark will not only be able to move, also he will not be able to eat, and further on he will also not be able to breathe ... We were crying because of our utter helplessness. It feels like you are in a trap from which there is no escape. We try to get out of it, but every our move has no effect. We are losing strength, our son loses his health, what if he loses his life ...

We would never forgive ourselves for not trying to fight. We know that the amount to be raised is enormous, over 9 million PLN! We don't have such money, but we know that we can only get it with the help of people with big hearts. Every zloty gives our son a chance for life. It is nothing for you, but for us it is a chance for a future together. The opportunity to see our child who will still be with us!

We are ready to knock on any door to ask for help for our Mark, today we are knocking on your heart and we ask you to help ... It is also thanks to you our child can get a chance for life. You are our hope, we beg you, don't turn your back on us ...
