Please, support me in my fight for independence!

My name is Marlena. I have been struggling with motor disability since I was born. I do not have an arm and a leg. I cannot use crutches so I need a prosthesis to move around during the day. Unfortunately, it has to be cyclically replaced...

The old prosthesis is worn out. It causes pain and spinal curvature. I want to change that. I need an advanced, electronic prosthesis that will help me function without issues and with more flexibility. With new prosthesis I would finally be able to go to the mountains with my friends. I am dreaming about it and I would like to go to Bieszczady Mountains.

Unfortunately, a new prosthesis is very expensive and non-reimbursable. It costs about PLN 162,000! I saved almost PLN 50,000 but it is just the beginning. I know that I cannot make it on my own and I am asking for your help with all my heart. 

For many years, swimming was my whole world. It helped me feel free and strong. Years of intense workouts (since I was 7 years old) allowed me to participate in Paralympic Games in Athens in 2004 where I could proudly represent my country. In the finals, I was close to making my dream come true – I was short of only 0,03 seconds to be on the podium. It was a moment that proved to me that I can go beyond limits.

I believe that with your support, I will be able to take another step! Today each zloty, sharing of my fundraiser or pledging 1.5% of tax is invaluable and brings me closer to my goal. Each good gesture is meaningful. Thank you in advance for your support.
