An insidious disease destroys our brother’s life! Help Michał fight with ALS!

ALS - that is the diagnosis our brother was given a couple of weeks ago! Shock and disbelief. Floods of tears... Why him: a born sportsman, football lover, enthusiast of jogging and half marathon runner. Why is fate so cruel? 

We will not find answers to these questions but we cannot allow our brother to fight on his own! ALS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder. Terminal! As the disease progresses, it gradually, but consequently,  hinders motor functions and at further stages, leads to paralysis and DEATH when the muscles responsible for breathing stop working.

When it comes to Michał, it all started with subtle symptoms – our brother felt that his respiratory function was worse while he was running long distance, he was getting tired faster. Unfortunately, this weakness did not pass and affected other limbs, one by one. Detailed medical tests revealed the diagnosis – ALS! 

There is no treatment for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis but there are methods that allow to slow down the progress of this disease – rehabilitation, rehabilitation stays, specialist rehabilitation equipment, modern therapies. Unfortunately, the costs are enormous... We will do everything to help Michał face this cruel and insidious disease! Perhaps he will not be able to play on the field or run in a half marathon... But there are football matches played by his son ahead of him! 

Today our brother has to play the most important match - a match for his life! We are asking you to help Michał! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for support and each good word!
