Fundraiser description
I still remember this day, although I would gladly erase it from my memory. On 16 April 2024, my daughter’s neighbour called me. He was terrified and explained that Monica had been unwell, could not feel anything from her waist down and that they are on their way to hospital! It was like the worst dream and unfortunately, this nightmare turned out to be reality...
Together with my wife, we immediately got into the our and drove to the hospital. We arrived there at night as we live far away from our daughter. The medical tests revealed that a spinal arteriovenous angioma ruptured in Monika’s body and she experienced spinal cord haemorrhage! The doctor immediately decided to conduct a surgery and I was not sure if I was going to see my daughter again...
Fortunately the surgery was successful but it was not the end of the fight. Due to respiratory failure and persistent difficulty in swallowing, Monika was transferred to the ICU! There, the doctors performed a tracheotomy and her condition stablisied. Unfortunately, the results of the haematoma are still visible...

Monika cannot feel her legs, she cannot walk, hold objects in her hands or eat a meal on her own. Currently, she undergoes rehabilitation at hospital and she fights for her recovery. I cannot accept the fact that my beloved daughter, who became a policewoman to help others, needs help herself!
In order to fully recover, Monika needs further rehabilitation but this time in a private facility. Together with my wife, we would like to give her this opportunity still in December. The problem is that this is going to be a long and expensive process. The cost of rehabilitation in a facility is about a couple thousands of zlotysa month …
The amount is enormous and we are not able to cover it. But I want to do everything to help my daughter. That is why I decided to ask for support. Only with Your help Monika will be able to recover and go back to her favourite job.
