Trying for a baby turned into a FIGHT FOR LIFE! Help!

In a brief moment, our peaceful and organized reality was over. Since then, we have been fighting to bring Monika home to her family, friends, and hobbies. There is a long path to recovery ahead of her. However, we will do our best to win this battle! Will you help us? 

Having a baby was our dream. Nothing would make us happier! Despite our efforts, getting pregnant was challenging. It took a toll on my wife's mental health. However, we did not give up and started a fertility treatment that would let us become parents. 

Monica was put on medication (birth control pills) to improve her results so we could try for a baby again. Everything was going in the right direction when Monica was diagnosed with a serious condition…

She had saddle pulmonary embolism! We were devastated as it is the most severe type of embolism! The prognosis was poor. Fortunately, the quick diagnosis followed by surgery saved Monica!  

Unfortunately, she faced some postoperative complications and was put on a ventilator. The doctors said things that made my blood run cold. She practically had no chance of recovery!

The CT scan showed hypoxic brain damage. Monica could either end up entirely dependent on others, requiring medical assistance 24/7, or die... 

And then, a MIRACLE happened! Monica woke up. Now she can even breathe without a ventilator, although the left side of her body is paralyzed, and she has amnesia. 

To assess the size of damage the disease has caused, the doctors must perform further tests and examinations. Monica should also start physical therapy as soon as she leaves the hospital.
