Don't forget about us - a national campaign supporting the Heroes.

Some memories are painful. Imagine living in fear for your life or struggling to find a free scrap of land to bury your loved ones, feeling excruciating grief.

Exactly 80 years ago, on August 1, the Warsaw Uprising broke out. 

THEY WERE JUST LIKE YOU.

They had their dreams and plans. And then, the horrifying reality of 1944 changed everything. Against all odds, they risked their lives for us and fought for our freedom. And they succeeded, risking EVERYTHING!

"Every night, I wake up and see their faces. I see Leszek, covering Abdanek with his own body, Zgrzebna, who is coming towards the German soldiers wearing a white bandage, to protest against this horror".

On this special day - the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, let's show the Heroes gratitude for what they have done for us, for their infinite devotion to ensuring a safe future for us, our children, and our grandchildren. 

We may be the last generation to do that❗️

Today, 80 years after the Warsaw Uprising outbreak, we must do everything to provide the Heroes with a sense of security and peaceful life for which they fought! 

The Siepomaga Foundation and the Don't Forget About Us Foundation (Fundacja Nie Zapomnij o Nas) have launched a national campaign to raise funds for the Warsaw Uprising veterans. 

The Don't Forget About Us Foundation offers the Veterans daily support provided by qualified nursing staff, doctor's home visits, rehabilitation, and nursing equipment, and meets their daily needs. 

The Foundation has also created a pioneering project for the Warsaw Uprising veterans, called Rehabilitation Corps, which offers them free physical therapy. The veterans have already undergone 11,000 hours of rehabilitation at home. Additionally, the Foundation provides the Heroes with warm meals every day. 

Let's be thankful for not sharing the same painful, haunting experiences, smelling pungent smoke from burning buildings, being scared of falling bombs, and feeling unimaginable grief when burying our loved ones. 

None of us is aware of what they've been through, what images they have seen, or how much pain they suffered. 

Let's be thankful that these Wonderful People are still among us, and let this fundraiser be a homage paid to them. We will never forget about you!

Let's take care of the Heroes and show them our appreciation for their bravery. Let's take action until they're still with us!
