Fundraiser description

Some of you probably remember the story of our Ola...
It started over 2 years ago, while I was pregnant, it turned out that our child has a serious heart defect and several other abnormalities. Some doctors said, "nothing will come of this baby". For us this was unacceptable.

We immediately started consulting and looking for a person and a medical center where they would give Ola a chance to live. We found a medical center in Germany, where our wonderful Polish professors helped us. Ola was born there.

Ola underwent life-saving surgery. It was in Germany, where Ola got her chance, for which we are most grateful to the Professors, but most of all and until the end of the world we will be grateful to you - our family, friends, but also strangers, completely random people who stopped for a moment and bent to help our little one. Almost 10,000 people helped us - we raised a lot of money. Together, we accomplished something great. You will forever remain in our hearts. Thank you.

These 2 years were difficult for us. Ola underwent a larynx procedure - she has a tracheostomy tube, thanks to which she breathes. She spent 2 months in the Hospital Intensive Care Unit. When she turned one year old, she underwent a heart catheterization. In January this year she was operated on to correct a foot defect. These activities put a lot of burden on her body, but she managed it - she is incredibly brave.

Ola is still being rehabilitated and consulted by many specialists. We do our best to ensure that she develops well and that we do not overlook the situation when something bad starts to happen. Unfortunately, we just heard such bad news!

During the last doctor’s visits, it turned out that Ola’s condition is no longer stable. Ola's heart must be operated again. The pulmonary artery is very narrow – there is a threat that it will close completely. The pulmonary valve needs to be replaced. It has such a large regurgitation as if it was not there, i.e., it does
not fulfill its function. In addition, Ola has an inadequately functioning aortic valve and sinus rhythm disturbances, which occur at night. The heart then slows down to 30 beats per minute, and sometimes stops. Ola takes special medications, but it is not a solution to the problem, someday the medication may simply not be enough.

The doctors warn us that Ola may lose consciousness at any moment. It's scary, even though we know what to do, no one is ready for something like that. What if Ola loses consciousness at night?? It's a nightmare!!!! For two years we haven't slept even half the night, even 2 hours in a row, we're keeping watch...

Of course, we started consulting Ola's case again in many medical centers. We are looking for the best solution for her, where the operation will be the most successful, least invasive and bring the best results. We care about the technical and material possibilities, i.e., what the materials that doctors will use during the operation are made of. It's very important. We want to consider every aspect.

Ola has already undergone an artery widening procedure in Poland; however, it did not bring the expected results, and in addition she struggled with the consequences for a long time after the accident, which happened to her in the operating room. In addition, we heard from one of the doctors that the fact that the artery and the valve do not function as they should be is Ola's beauty and as a result one lung will stop working in the future, and people live with one lung. We say a definite NO to this!!!

We do not agree with this approach. Ola is 2 years old - this is not the time for any organ to lose its function.
She has her whole life ahead of her and she must live it like a healthy person. At least it's our duty as parents to do everything we can to give her that chance! We have already received a preliminary opinion from one of the medical centers in the US. The doctor writes that he will help Ola. He has an initial treatment plan. He wants to see her, do all the necessary tests. There will be examinations under sedation to see every little detail and determine the plan of surgery.

We were most surprised and pleased that there is a chance that Ola will be operated on by catheterization, i.e., without opening the chest. That would be wonderful, because it wouldn't put so much of a burden on this fragile human being who has already gone through so much. Of course, everything will turn out after the research done in the US.
And now my dears WE ASK YOU FOR A HUGE FAVOR!

Help please!!!!

Without you, this whole plan doesn't make sense, because unfortunately we need to raise a certain amount of money again. This time it will be a huge cost. We haven't received the estimate cost and the date yet, however we should receive it in several days. After the initial analysis, we can assume that the cost will be about PLN 4-6 million*... We are awaiting the details and of course, we will let you know how it really is right away, but since the costs will be so terrifying, it is worth starting the fundraiser now, because it will take some time, for sure, and we may not have enough time.

At the moment, we have to translate all Ola's documentation into English, which is already associated
with considerable costs, and so much more is ahead of us. It is not a comfortable situation for us that we have to beg for money again, for every penny, but on the other hand, it's not about our comfort, it's about the fact that we want our child to LIVE! It's about LIFE!!

That is why we will be asking you with all our hearts for help. Every dollar really matters. It is very important to share the collection with others on social media because the more people will know
Ola's story, the more help we can get. Someone will pay a dollar, someone will share and that's all this is about. We believe it will work. It must work!
