Nasza jednostka zawiązała się w 1945 r., a zarejestrowano ją oficjalnie jako Ochotniczą Straż Pożarną w Żdżarach w 1947 r. "Sercem" OSP był Pan Stanisław Jędrzejczyk, jej wieloletni naczelnik, począwszy od 1949 r.
