URGENT! A fifth cancer recurrence two months before his 18th birthday! LET'S SAVE PATRICK!

I thought that many years of an exhausting battle with cancer would pay off, and my son would finally recover. He even signed up for a driving course and started preparing for the High School Diploma exam. Unfortunately, fate changed his plans. Cancer came back for the fifth time! I AM BEGGING YOU FOR HELP! His life has been valued for 5.5 million zlotys! 

The disease attacked him with an enormous force, spreading to the bones and the bone marrow. Treatment must be started NOW! That monster must be killed before it causes further damage. Otherwise, I won't see Patryk go to college or become an adult. I will lose him forever. We cannot let it happen! We must save him! 

The expensive treatment includes eight months of stay at the Barcelona clinic. It's a price to pay for my son's life! I have no choice, though. It's the only place that can save his life! We must stay positive and believe in a happy ending! 

It all started in February 2016. At nine years old, Patrick developed abdominal pain. An ultrasound showed a large, 14-cm-tumor in his body that turned out to be a stage 4 neuroblastoma! Our whole world fell apart. 

Patrick's case is unusual. This type of cancer usually attacks younger children. He was given a poor prognosis, and in the years that followed, he experienced many ups and downs. Every time we thought cancer was gone, we faced a relapse.

In December 2023, the follow-up scan showed a residual tumor. We had to take action! At the end of February, we traveled to Madrid, where Patrick underwent an effective proton therapy, after which the tumor disappeared.  

In the spring, Patrick qualified for adjuvant therapy against recurrence. We hoped it would end his cancer battle once and for all. Unfortunately, it didn't. We only flew to the United States once to get medication that he took for three months. We had to cancel our second flight this weekend.  

The reason was that doctors in Barcelona found not only residual tumors in the area of the primary tumor but also bone and bone marrow metastases. Why wouldn't this cruel monster let go of my son? After all, it's already been eight years since the first diagnosis! 

This year, Patrick was supposed to start his senior year of high school and prepare for the High School Diploma exam. He turns 18 in October. We thought he would enter adulthood cancer-free! The diagnosis made us weak at the knees and turned our world upside down. 

Our son's physical condition is good, but he's mentally exhausted - it's difficult for a young person like him to stop realizing his hobbies because of intensive cancer therapy. 

Our son is ready to put up a good fight against his enemy, though! He cannot stand being excluded from social life and cut off from his friends, school, and interests like drawing, painting, and design. He's into pure sciences and has a great imagination. We hope this break is only temporary, though.

Although years of previous treatment had already taken its toll on his body, he must soon take on another one - chemoimmunotherapy in Barcelona. It is the only life-saving solution for him! 

The battle with cancer lasted throughout almost his entire childhood, and the only thing it gave in turn was suffering, fear, and pain. I cannot imagine what thoughts must have gone through his head. 

Patrick didn't deserve this. Cancer attacked him for the fifth time just as he was about to start a normal life!  We are asking you for help from the bottom of our hearts, as we won't be able to pay for the treatment ourselves.
