Piotr is capable of overcomming the effects of the accident, although he needs Your help.

On October 23 2022 our hearts stopped beating for a moment. That day Piotr happended to suffer a car accident. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition. He was immidiately taken to surgery, where doctors saved his life.
A brain hematoma was succesfully removed, but it was only a beggining of his fight for life.

After the surgery he was escorted to the ICU, where he was connected to respirator and put into a medically induced coma. These were the deciding moments. We were waiting for what comes next.

Piotr suffered a severe brain damage, although putting away medicine he hasn't waken up yet. On top of that he started having bedsores, since his condicion does not allow to change his position. What gives us hope is the fact that he can
breathe on his own. He was transported from the Warsaw hospital to a county hospital in Ryki, where he'll go through rehabilitation and attempt to wake him up.

Hitherto Piotr has been a very ambitious and full of energy person. He could not rest for a second, loved to travel and seeing new places. 200km bike ride has never been a problem for him, neither was climbing up to the summit of Teide
volcano in the middle of night. His passion became playing drums, which were an escape from everyday life.

Piotr was always willing to offering help to those in need as well as listening to them. He always lived his life to the full and his optimism was contagious. We do strongly believe that he will overcome this, as he is one of the toughest
person we know of. We hope that all the good that he shared with others, will come back to him.

Only family of Piotr is his brother and his sister in law. Their parents died a couple of years ago. We know that only proper treatment and rehabilitation will allow him to come back to health.

Medical help is very expensive, we, his family and friends, are unable to cover that treatment on our own, that is why we are asking for help.

Am 23. Oktober 2022 blieben unsere Herzen für einen Moment stehen. An diesem Tag war Piotrek in einen Autounfall verwickelt. Er wurde ins Krankenhaus gebracht, sein Zustand wurde als kritisch beschrieben. Er wurde sofort zum Operationstisch gebracht, wo er sich einer lebensrettenden Operation unterzog. Die Ärzte entfernten ein Hämatom aus dem Gehirn. Die Operation war erfolgreich, aber leider war es nur der Anfang des Kampfes um sein Leben…

Nach der Operation wurde er auf die Intensivstation verlegt, wo er an ein Beatmungsgerät angeschlossen und in ein pharmakologisches Koma versetzt wurde. Diese Momente waren entscheidend. Wir warteten auf das Urteil darüber, was als nächstes passieren wird ...

Piotrek erlitt eine schwere Hirnverletzung und ist dadurch trotz Absetzens von Medikamenten, die ihn ins Koma versetzten, bis heute nicht aufgewacht. Außerdem hat er sich wundgelegen, da sein Zustand es nicht erlaubt, die Position des Körpers zu ändern. Er atmet selbstständig, was uns glauben lässt, dass es am Tag darauf deutliche Fortschritte geben wird. Vom Warschauer Krankenhaus wurde er in das Bezirkskrankenhaus in Ryki transportiert, wo wir ihn rehabilitieren und versuchen wollen, ihn aus dem Koma zu wecken.

Bis zum Unfall war Piotrek immer ein ehrgeiziger und lebensfroher Mensch. Er konnte nie still an einem Ort sitzen, er liebte es zu reisen und zu erkunden. Es war für ihn kein Problem, eine lange Strecke von über 200 km mit dem Fahrrad zurückzulegen oder nachts den höchsten Gipfel des Vulkans Teide zu erklimmen, der über 3.700 m über dem Meeresspiegel liegt. Zu seiner Leidenschaft wurde auch das Schlagzeugspielen, das eine Flucht aus dem Alltag war.

Piotr war immer bereit, anderen zu helfen und denen zuzuhören, die es brauchten. Er wollte das Leben in vollen Zügen genießen und sein Optimismus war ansteckend für andere. Wir glauben, dass er es schaffen wird, weil er eine starke und ausdauernde Person ist. Wir möchten, dass das Gute, das er mit anderen geteilt hat, auch zu ihm zurückkehrt.

Die einzige Familie des 37-jährigen Piotr sind sein Bruder und dessen Frau. Ihre Eltern starben vor einigen Jahren. Wir wissen, dass nur eine angemessene Behandlung und Rehabilitation ihm helfen wird, seine Gesundheit, Fitness und Unabhängigkeit wiederzuerlangen.

Ärztliche Hilfe ist sehr teuer und wir – seine Angehörigen – können sie nicht alleine bezahlen. Deshalb bitten wir um Ihre Unterstützung...

Em 23 de outubro de 2022, nossos corações pararam de bater por um momento. Naquele dia Piotr sofreu um acidente de carro. Ele foi encaminhado ao hospital em estado grave. Ele foi imediatamente levado para a cirurgia, onde os médicos salvaram sua vida.

Um hematoma cerebral foi removido com sucesso, mas foi apenas o começo de sua luta pela vida.

Após a cirurgia, ele foi encaminhado à UTI, onde foi conectado a um respirador e colocado em coma induzido. Esses foram os momentos decisivos. Estávamos esperando o que vem a seguir.

Piotr sofreu um grave dano cerebral, embora guardando os remédios ele ainda não acordou. Ainda por cima começou a ter escaras, pois o seu estado não permite mudar de posição. O que nos dá esperança é o fato de ele poder respirar sozinho. Ele foi transportado do hospital de Varsóvia para um hospital municipal em Ryki, onde passará por reabilitação e tentará acordá-lo.

Até agora Piotr tem sido uma pessoa muito ambiciosa e cheia de energia. Ele não conseguia descansar um segundo, adorava viajar e conhecer novos lugares. Percorrer 200 km de bicicleta nunca foi um problema para ele, nem subir ao cume do vulcão Teide a meio da noite. Sua paixão passou a ser tocar bateria, que era uma fuga da vida cotidiana.

Piotr estava sempre disposto a oferecer ajuda aos necessitados, bem como a ouvi-los. Ele sempre viveu sua vida ao máximo e seu otimismo era contagiante. Acreditamos fortemente que ele vai superar isso, pois é uma das pessoas mais duras que conhecemos. Esperamos que tudo de bom que ele compartilhou com os outros volte para ele.

A única família de Piotr é seu irmão e sua cunhada. Seus pais morreram há alguns anos. Sabemos que apenas o tratamento e a reabilitação adequados permitirão que ele volte à saúde.

A ajuda médica é muito cara, nós, sua família e amigos, não temos condições de cobrir esse tratamento sozinhos, por isso pedimos ajuda.
