After a brutal assault, Piotrek is still struggling for his health-please help!

An ordinary friends' meeting has changed into a nightmare which  continues for years now. That day Piotrek was going with his friends to a birthday party. He got seriously beaten by the unknown offenders.Assaulted on a calm housing estate, he couldn't protect himself. He has become a random victim of brutal offenders and till now we are fighting with the consequences of this tragedy.

Piotrek was  21 years old then. I started to feel anxious when he didn't pick up his phone for a long time.Finally, his friend answered and said that my son was at hospital and that he was beaten. The offenders escaped-they haven't beed found.

In hospital,a haematoma was detected,which was probably caused by a strong hit in his head.For five months Piotrek was in coma. The assault has had dreadful consequences.Piotrek was given a long hospital treatment but still his health condition may be described as serious. We have been struggling for his health for nine years now.

Piotrek can't talk, walk and needs 24 hour assistance in everyday  routine.Although so many years has passed ,Piotrek still regurarly visits hospital for surgeries. He has undergone several of them. I take care of my son 24 hours a day and, although it breaks my heart, I am aware that we still need a lot of hard work.

Currently Piotrek is in a wheelchair and his right side of the body doesn't work properly. He requires a multidirectional and systematic rehabilitation. He feels significantly better in the company of  people who also straggle with some dysfunctions. Unfortunately, going out is sometimes problematic-worse days happen and using a wheelchair outside is difficult, especially when even the house entrance is not adjusted to the needs of the disabled. 

The rehabilitation brings positive effects-it encourages us to fight more. Piotrek is getting better and better in logical task solving, he can put his name of a letter scatter, he is learning how to read. Each progress is extremely moving and motivating for us. We still believe that one day we will hear Piotrek talking again. We are fighting and we won't give up, so please help us to fight for Piotrek.
