Please, help my kids and elderly mom save our home
To raise funds for apartment renovation
Ends on: 31 July 2023
Fundraiser description
My name is Nadia, I am a single mom of two wonderful kids, Matthew, 9yo, and Eva, 7yo, who are my whole world! Unfortunately, their dad is not in the picture. Additionally, my kids and I lost our place to live after the divorce and after renting for several years, we were forced to move in with my mom into a 350 sq. ft apartment.
My mother is a 74-year-old woman who suffered a stroke & sepsis in May 2019. After that, she bedridden and required full-time care. Nowadays she is able to walk with a rollator's help - very very slowly. She also has a pacemaker to be fitted.
Recently, the city of Vrotslav (the city in Poland where we currently reside) offered us a subsidized apartment that can be ours if we do all the repairs and make living conditions acceptable. The apartment is destroyed and needs new everything (plumbing, heating system, electricity, flooring, ceiling/doors replacement and so much more!).
We started the repairs several months ago and completed about 50% of it. What you see in the pictures does not reflect the renovations! So, as you can imagine, there is so much more that needs to be done.
Unfortunately, we absolutely exhausted our financial resources at this point. The City gave us the deadline of June 30, 2023, to complete the required list of repairs. The apartment will go back under City ownership if we fail the inspection on 06/30/2023 and we’ll lose the place as well as everything we’ve invested in so far.
For the sake of my kids and my mother, I cannot let it happen. More than anything in this life I want us to have our own place and fill it with happy, joyful moments. After having to move from one rental to another it is my dream to finally settle down and provide some stability for my kids and my mother.
However, I cannot do it without your help. Any donation or post/share helps. Additionally, I’ll be happy to answer any questions and/or provide more information.
God bless you all!
Nadia, Oksana (grandma), Matthew, and Eva
