We are fighting for a better future for a newborn Jacob!

It was the most wonderful and exciting news for us when I found out I was pregnant. Our dream to become parents finally came true! We quickly started to plan our new life. What would possibly go wrong? You hear about all these diseases and tragedies all the time, but you never expect them to happen to you.           

We arranged the simple things, like a crib, clothes, a nursery… It was a wonderful time, and we enjoyed every minute of it! And then, that terrible day came and ruined everything…

On October 28, during a prenatal examination, we learned something was wrong with our unborn child… We were terrified! I had always been anxious about every doctor’s appointment, but this time, my intuition was right… What my doctor told me made my blood run cold.

Our baby was diagnosed with radial hemimelia - a congenital absence of the radius bone of the forearm. To find out that your child will have to fight for health is devastating. 

Our Jacob was born on December 6, at 2.48 pm, through vaginal delivery. He’s the most beautiful boy! 

Unfortunately, his hand defect has become more visible. It will affect his posture, spine development, and milestones like crawling. It will also result in other defects, become problematic, and make him miserable… 

We decided to act fast! We found out that our son’s hand can be fixed. There is a chance he will be a perfectly healthy child! However, to make that possible, we would need resources… 

The expensive surgery is non-refundable, though. We must ask you for help. Jacob is tiny, but we cannot wait for his treatment too long. 

Please, give Jacob a chance for a normal life, although cruel fate decided otherwise… 

Jacob is our whole world. Every donation means a lot to us! 

He is too little to feel pain. He has so many milestones ahead of him, and we don’t want him to suffer.
