Szymon is our greatest happiness, great pride and the source of infinite love. From the moment we saw him for the first time, we knew we would do everything we could to keep him happy and safe.

Our fairy tale did not last long. Szymon was just over one and a half years old when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. There was no time to despair, it was necessary to act quickly! On November 27, 2019, Szymon had his first tumor removal operation. We thought that this is how our suffering would end ... But it did not happen ...

Half a year later, as a bolt from the blue, we received information about the cancer recurrence. Chemotherapy didn't help. Another operation scheduled for June 8 was postponed to mid-June. Doctors in Poland do not make us feel positive about the future. Treatment and surgery abroad were a chance for Szymon. The operation took place on July 10, 2020 in Tubingen, where it was operated by Prof. Martin Schuhmann. The surgery to remove the recurrent brain tumor went very well, the tumor was completely removed!

Professor recommends proton beam therapy! We are applying for this treatment in Essen, Germany. We do not know the final amount to be collected yet, but we know that it will be up to several hundred thousand PLN (we are waiting for the cost estimate and will make it publicly available). We cannot wait - we must be ready as soon as the doctors have given us the radiation date!
