Urgent! Please help me fight leukemia. Bone marrow transplant is my ONLY chance!

My name is Taras, I am 23 years old. I am from Ukraine 💛💙 And I desperately need your help with my cancer treatment. 

I am currently in a Turkish clinic, waiting for my bone marrow transplant. Can you just imagine how I feel? I am far away from home, my country is suffering from war, my family is in danger. I have no ability to cover the cost of treatment. And I have nobody to ask for help but you. 

Transplant is my only chance to beat leukemia. And you are my only chance to get the treatment.

Here’s my story. 

I am suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. For the last 3 years, every new day has been a fight for me. Months in the hospital, multiple chemotherapy treatments, hair loss, fatigue....I endured everything hoping to beat cancer and get back to normal life. But cancer is back again. 

My only chance to survive is a Bone marrow transplant procedure where I would receive healthy blood cells from a donor. This treatment can’t be performed in Ukraine, so in January this year I went to a Turkish clinic Medical Park to receive the treatment. And right when I was taking my chemotherapy in preparation for the transplant procedure - the war in Ukraine started. 

I hoped to be supported financially by the Ukrainian government. But this is impossible in the circumstances of war. My family already spent all the resources for my treatment. All my relatives and friends are in Ukraine, and can’t help me fundraise locally. The cost of the bone marrow transplant is too high, and because we have no funds, my treatment is now suspended. 

My life is at risk.

I want to believe that I am not alone. I hope there are a lot of caring people who can help me win my battle against cancer.

Every little bit helps. Every donation gets me a bit closer to the transplantation that I desperately need. Every donation can save my life. 

My dream is to survive and to come back to Ukraine. I want to help other people who are fighting for their survival. I want to protect and rebuild my country and my future in it.
