Tomasz fights his disease for many years now. Despite various treatments, the cancer does not want to let go and every day exhausts the body, which has already suffered so much... Tomasz, however, does not intend to give up, as long as there is even a small chance, he will make further attempts to save his health.
It all started in 2016 because of an inconspicuous mole on his head.

Doctors assured us it was nothing dangerous. When the test results came in, we felt as if the ground had slipped from under our feet. We saw the diagnosis written in black and white - malignant melanoma. We couldn't believe it...
Tomasz immediately underwent surgery to resect a larger area of skin. Fortunately, there were no metastases and further treatment was not necessary at that time. We were able to return to normal life. Two years - that's how long we managed to live carefree, without thinking about the disease every day. Until the first renewal occurred - metastasis appeared on the lymph nodes. It was necessary to have results were not satisfying, so immunotherapy has been started and lasted for 2 years.

Finally, the results began to give us hope. The treatment was stopped so that the body could recover. After a few months, fate again mocked us - the disease struck with redoubled force. Every time it seemed that it was the end of the struggle, that Tomasz was on the road to recovery, we received another hard blow.
The next stage of treatment was started - targeted therapy and immunotherapy. Metastases appeared on the intestines and lymph nodes. Tomasz felt bad, but the situation slowly began to stabilize. Again we were given false hope. Again, we rejoiced too early... At the end of 2023, the blood results were bad and a transfusion was needed. We were shocked to find that necrosis had developed and a section of the intestine had to be resected.

The next year bringed more bad news for us. There was a skin recurrence - black spots and nodules appeared on Tomasz's body. Every day there were more and more of them. The metastasis is still on the intestine, mesentery of the intestine and lymph nodes. This meant one thing - targeted therapy no longer works. Currently, there are no more reimbursable treatments available in Poland. Our last hope was clinical treatment. Tomasz qualified for immunotherapy, which was not available when he started his battle with cancer. Unfortunately, the last tests before starting revealed heart problems. Our world collapsed again.

Now, Tomasz is left without treatment. We cant sit back and watch the disease progress. We have to act. Tomasz more than anything wants to live. However, his life has been valued at a mind-boggling amount of money... At the moment there are two options. The first is the aforementioned immunotherapy, which we already have to pay for ourselves at this point. We just have to wait until Tomasz's heart strengthens and the inflammation passes. The second is a trip to Israel. A cutting-edge TIL therapy is being carried out there, which is tailored to patients with advanced melanoma for whom other methods have failed to result in improvement.

We are currently waiting for the green light to receive treatment at one of the available facilities. Regardless of where Tomasz will be qualified, we will need full mobilization, because the costs are enormous. However, we are not thinking about money, as we are focusing all our energies on saving the life of our beloved fiancé, son, brother, friend. Let's show Tomasz that we are together with him and help him win the fight against the merciless disease once and for all.
