Tomasz is dying! The only chance to save his life is CAR-T Cell Therapy!

It’s been over a year now since Tomas fainted and ended up in a hospital, just a day after his 38. birthday. After weeks-long medical examination the diagnosis was shocking: Lymphoma DLBCL! Tomasz has been treated with chemotherapy that had good prognosis. But we were shocked again, when after 5 months it turned out in his case it doesn’t work. Another type of chemo has been administered. This time, during the treatment, Tomasz has been infected with COVID-19.

Weak body with its immune system at the lowest point was exhausted and chemotherapy had to be postponed by weeks. When Tomasz recovered, PET scan showed another progression. Third type of chemotherapy that Tomasz was treated with was supposed to be the strongest with the worst side effects. He needed to achieve at least partial remission.

Again, our hope was destroyed – lymphoma has now been spreading, not only in lungs but in pancreas as well. Tomasz has lost his chance for autologous transplantation. Chemotherapy he is receiving now is only palliative. His only chance of being cured is CAR-T Cell Therapy. It’s a non-refundable treatment in Poland and the cost of it is 1.5 mln PLN, which is about €350K – this is beyond our capabilities.
