The 19th of February 2024 is the worst day of my life. It was then that my partner Tom suffered a sudden loss of consciousness - his heart stopped beating. Despite 15-minute resuscitation, he did not wake up, did not respond. I felt as if time had stopped. I was afraid I was going to lose him.

After a fewteen minutes, which took an eternity, the ambulance arrived. They took him to the hospital ICU, where he remains to this day....

After six weeks it will be possible to transfer Tom to the rehabilitation ward, where he will be able to fight for his life... I feel that he can hear what I say to him, he opens his eyes, tries to move his mouth, but he breathes through a tracheostomy tube, so it is impossible. He clasps his hand when I hold his hand... All this shows that he is with us, he misses us and wants to come back very much. We must do everything to make this happen.

Doctors do not give a clear answer as to why such a tragedy occurred. They ruled out a stroke, ruled out a heart attack... Many factors could have influenced this tragic event, but I guess we will never know the truth again....

That day changed our lives forever. Tom simply got up - as usual, he wanted to get groomed and go to work. We had a trip planned to the mountains that we love so much. Unfortunately, we didn't make it...

Tom was an active, athletic man. He loved photography, music and even played in a band as a drummer. We led a quiet life, which was ruined in a split second. Now we are trying to rebuild it, but in order for this to happen, we badly need your help....
