Fundraiser description
I'm terrified, because Victoria's heart can stop at any time. We are in constant contact with Professor Malec, but at a distance we will not be able to react appropriately in a critical situation.
Pregnancy is a time of joyful waiting, excitement and planning. Carefree state, fears, happiness - emotions change like a kaleidoscope. Unfortunately, in our case the joy lasted only a few weeks, later it was replaced by fear ... For me prenatal tests were the worst moment in my pregnancy - that's when I heard the devastating news of a suspected heart defect from a doctor. The words "everything will turn out when the child is born" I will remember forever. At this point, the world stopped, and each subsequent study was associated with paralyzing stress. Stress that nobody recommends in my condition. The second half of pregnancy was a time of tension and nervous waiting. I was looking forward to welcoming my daughter to the world. I really wanted to take her in my arms and ensure that everything would be all right.

Initially, we learned that the ventricular septal defect (VSD) in a small heart can decrease over time, and eventually it ceases to be a threat to the child. Unfortunately, in our case the defect did not decrease with time. On the contrary, it became a growing threat day by day. The doctors decided on the first surgery to ensure Victoria's safety. A tiny child in the recovery room surrounded by a lot of tubes, the sound of life monitoring equipment - this is a sight you can't forget. When we thought the worst was behind us, it turned out that this was just the beginning... A moment after the surgery, four days later the condition deteriorated rapidly. The doctors said another surgery was needed. I was terrified, my fear was so great that I lacked breath ... Instead of spending wonderful time at the Christmas table, our dear family was sitting with us in the hospital corridor. We were waiting for our small-great miracle. To finally hear the news that Victoria's life is now safe.
Now we live in constant tension. We are afraid every day, because we see how quickly our daughter gets tired, how she reacts to even the slightest effort. We are waiting for the next operation, but we cannot entrust our child's heart to people who could put her in dange

r. We must choose the best specialists for her. Qualification for surgery to Professor Malec was for us one of the best news in the life tragedy that we experience every day. Unfortunately, the costs of the procedure are beyond our capabilities. We cannot save our child alone. We need your help! Your support in the most important life mission! Give Victoria a chance, please… before it's too late!
The daughter's illness changed everything. Suddenly, all life is subordinated to controlling saturation, subsequent medical visits, wakefulness during the day and at night. Not for us walks, carefree games, family visits. We are specialists in the field of protection against bacteria, viruses, against alarming results, falling weight. We try to find strength in small gestures, holding the hand of our daughter, who bravely fights for each day. Meanwhile, life goes on. People to whom we cannot devote attention, for whom we do not have time busy with what is most important now.
This disease has affected our entire family. In our case, the most important is hope, it is the only thing we have now. We believe in your good hearts, that you will help us in a situation where everyone could find themselves ... Please, give Victoria a chance to live! I am sure that the good will come back to you with double power!
