Fundraiser description

Agata requires a more intense treatment!

We want to express our gratitude for your previous quick support!

We could count on you again! You are wonderful!

We also kept our previous fundraiser open until we obtained the results of the first two chemo cycles. We wanted to share the good news with you. Agata felt great despite painful IV infusions, which led us to believe that most tumors had disappeared. Unfortunately, they did not.

It turns out that immunotherapy is insufficient when it comes to treating metastases.

Although no other metastases have been detected, and two have already disappeared, the doctors said the healing process is too slow.

They decided to complement the 5-cycle treatment with another four cycles of immunotherapy and implement chemotherapy. It was heartbreaking news since the previous chemo was overwhelming for Agata. We are also afraid that she might lose her beautiful hair! Nevertheless, what's most important is a successful outcome of the treatment. This week, Agata will undergo her first cycle of chemoimmunotherapy. The bad news is that it is going to be expensive…

Additionally, to prevent another cancer recurrence, we want Agata to get a vaccine for neuroblastoma, available in the USA. Your previous donations for the vaccine were needed for four surgeries and two cycles of immunotherapy. The difference between immunotherapy and vaccines is that the first uses antibodies against cancer cells, and the latter teaches the body how to produce the antibodies.

That is why it is so important to administer the vaccine as soon as therapy is completed. Unfortunately, we cannot afford the vaccine.

The total amount of all cost estimates exceeds the amount of your previous donations. Please stay with us, donate, and support us in our battle for Agata's life.
