Wiktor was born in 2010. It seemed that his health was fine and there would be no major complications. Unfortunately, reality had a bitter surprise for us...
When Wiktor was 2.5 years old, he was diagnosed with diseases of the nervous system and sense organs caused by neuroinfection. Since then, his development has stopped. Wiktor stopped walking, talking, and eating independently. He was diagnosed with spastic tetraplegia and symptomatic epilepsy. For now, he requires constant care.
Our son is under the constant care of physiotherapist, neurological speech therapist, special education teacher, and hospice. Unfortunately, fate was merciless and after the severe course of COVID-19, our son's condition worsened. It was necessary to insert a tracheotomy tube, which significantly reduced Wiktor's comfort in daily functioning.
As parents, we ask for your support in Wiktor's daily struggle with his illness. He still needs intensive rehabilitation. There is a long and demanding road ahead of us, but every helpful gesture from your side gives us hope for a better life for Wiktor!
