My husband has always been very helpful and there was never a case that he has refused to help someone. He was able to dedicate a lot of his time, in order to help someone. Simultaneously, his whole life he had worked hard in order to provide a good life for our three children. When everything was starting to get better and we were looking at the future optimistically, a sudden tragedy occured, that turned our life upside down.

A terrible and extremely rare disease struck him. This was a huge shock for us and an unbelievable blow. Vasculitis of the central nervous system remains a very rare phenomenon for doctors. Repetitive strokes and epilepsy  - which led to ¼ of the brain being in ischemia, these are only some of the ailments. The doctor’s decision to undergo treatment was not easy. 12 infusions of chemotherapy and steroid therapy allowed our children to keep their beloved father alive.

However, our problems don’t end here. My husband requires constant care, because he is unable to get out of bed. I cannot go to work, because having a carer for my husband would be too expensive. I am scared of what will happen to our children when our savings run out. 

However, after a conversation with the rehabilitation resort, there was hope after which we have not seen a trace for a long time. Specialised rehabilitation gives my husband a great chance to function normally and a sense of hope for a better life. Today, we have a chance to give Wojtek what he has been giving people all his life; goodness and a helpful hand. We will fight to the end!

Financial support will assure Wojtek specialised rehabilitation, which amounts to even 30 thousand złoty monthly!

But without help we cannot do it… We trust that, through this collection Wojtek will experience the impossible. With all our hearts we ask for help. Because we can give Wojtek wings as he has forgotten how to fly!
