“Wojtuś, our beloved son, is for us the greatest warrior in the world. At the age of 4, he went through a difficult fight for life in the oncology ward at the Children's Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw. He won, although it was not easy! However, our joy did not last long ...

Today, as an 8-year-old boy, he has to fight a war again against the enemy attacking him! We believe that he will also win this time! We have to regroup our forces and ask for support - now it will be even more difficult and we will not be able to cope alone ...

On July 27 this year, we heard the words that paralyzed us: RECURRENCE. Wojtuś's opponent is a neuroblastoma, a malignant tumor of the sympathetic nervous system, a killer of children. It came for our son for the first time when he was only 4 years old. He took many months of his childhood but did not take his life. That's why it came back, but this time we will not give up without a fight! We will not give our Wojtuś!

As it turned out, the neoplastic changes appeared in the paraspinal area, but there are distant metastases to the bones ... Wojtuś's disease was classified as IV, the highest stage of advancement ... There was no time to waste. My son underwent spine decompression surgery, because the tumor was penetrating the spinal canal and moving its core!

Currently, Wojtuś is undergoing intensive chemotherapy, which causes numerous complications. It is necessary to transfuse blood, platelets, administer drips… Without it, his body cannot function anymore. Our hearts are bursting with pain when we watch this terrible disease wreak devastation in our son's body ... This is the second time. However, now Wojtuś is more aware of what he has to face. Difficult questions that are hard to answer arise...

There is still a long fight ahead of Wojtuś: another operation to remove the remaining part of the tumor, another chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy. The awareness that our Sweetheart has to take so much suffering hurts like nothing else ...

As parents, we are powerless - it breaks us down. We can only be there, support him, but we won't take the disease on ourselves. Wojtek, although so small, is actually alone in it ... But we want to do everything we can to relieve his suffering, free him from this deadly threat, which is neuroblastoma! Doctors do everything to help our child. Looking at his pain every day, we know that we cannot waste any time.

After the end of the treatment in Poland, it is still possible to obtain a modern vaccine that protects children against recurrence. This vaccine, available only in the USA, is our hope for the life and health of our son. Hope this monster will never come back after healing is over!

Its cost is huge. We need about PLN 1.5 million. This amount is unattainable for us. However, this money is necessary for Wojtuś to be able to continue his treatment in the USA as soon as possible. Without your help, we will not be able to give our son the weapon to fight this difficult opponent, we will not be able to protect him from recurrence, the treatment of which is even more difficult!
