Campaign description

On the 28th February 2022 the fifth day of the invasion of Ukraine by the Putin and Lukashenka regimes, the Board of the Polish Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (ZG PTAiIT) met to express their position, showing their solidarity, appreciation and admiration for the heroic Ukrainian nation for its steadfast attitude in defending themselves and our freedom.

The unjustified and unacceptable aggression of the invaders, causing a huge wave of refugees and the death of adults and children, raises our fundamental objection to the violation of the fundamental humanitarian values of human health and life.

We encourage everyone in the country and around the world to personally and institutionally support any initiatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, both local and international, aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine immediately and helping the victims of the war.

For its part, the PTAiIT Board adopted a resolution on the establishment of a long-term Targeted Educational and Vocational Support Fund for Ukrainian Anaesthesiologists and their families residing in Poland, allocating 100,000 PLN for this purpose from their own funds. Further fundraising will take place through the Siepomaga Foundation.

We encourage individuals, organizations and institutions both in Poland and around the world to support the collection we have launched.

On the website www.anestezjologia.org.pl you will soon be able to find information on the type and possibilities of receiving help, the Fund's regulations and application forms for anaesthesiologists and their families who, as refugees from Ukraine in Poland, will require support from the Polish Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine.

Thank you very much for all your support!
