Dear colleagues,
Over 3,2 million refugees, mostly women and children, have already crossed the Polish border. One of the main needs they have is a safe roof over their heads. We have decided to take care of a special group of refugees such as large families and foster family homes. It is particularly difficult for them to find a home and shelter. We need you to make this challenge a success!
What we've done so far
ARC Europe has already rented half a house in Poznań, which can accommodate over a dozen children along with their mothers and attendants. The rental costs of the house are covered by ARC Europe until the end of October this year, but we might extend the rent for several months depending on how the situation evolves.
Currently, we look after 3 families. The first one is a foster family with 10 children (6 girls and 4 boys aged 4 to 16). The second family is a mom with 5 daughters between 4 and 18 of age. In both cases the fathers had to stay in Ukraine. The third family is a grandmother with 2 teenagers who are in the adoption process. The situation is really dynamic so we will be taking in new families or providing new accommodation for existing ones, depending on the needs.
What is our main goal?
Your donations will allow us to cover daily life expenses such as food, clothing and home furnishings. Next, we need to cover the transportation (e.g. tickets, travel to school) as well as schooling expenses (i.e. kindergarten, online learning, Polish/English classes). We also wish to provide the children with the very much needed psychological and legal care.
We are collecting money on the largest fundraising platform in Poland - Siepomaga.pl (it’s available in English). In this regard, we also cooperate with an experienced partner - the "Bread of Life" Foundation (www.breadoflife.pl). Collected donations will be transferred directly to the above-mentioned purpose, and the use of funds will be supervised by the representatives of ARC Europe Polska.
