The second surgery has involved removal of existing central intravenous access and implantation of a vascular port, which is to facilitate our everyday functioning and to provide temporary respite from hospital rooms ...

Joyful smile, seaming rarely to leave Zuzia's face, have always been a driving force for us. Watching her grow and eagerly discover the world was like magic force, encouraging us to expand our own horizons. Now, more often we are to witness grimace of pain, fear and sometimes anger. There are days when expressions of suffering are all we see. The worst thing is that we cannot help her ourselves ...

Neuroblastoma is trying to take our little daughter away from us. We will not give up, not without a fight. Against all the odds, we haven’t lost hope that joy and smile would return to this beautiful face!

Our daughter used to be a child of exceptional capacities, a vortex of pure energy. The tumor have ambushed from hiding, a deadly disease in disguise of an ordinary ailment. The moment we heard the diagnosis, our hearts broke into pieces, black clouds of tragic information covered entire sky above us. 

An image of advanced oncological disease: admission to hospital, first tests unleashing tragic sequence of information - doctors have detected two tumors in Zuzia’s abdomen, each bigger than 10 cm, one actively bleeding into the abdomen ... Zuzia's condition back then was critical, needed immediate surgery. I remember one question from that day "will my child live through to hear next diagnosis?". I find no language to describe complexity of emotions ... It was only a matter of time to recognize that we are victims of neuroblastoma. Our Zuzia's entire body has been under attack! A tumor in the chest and liver, eminently malignant, stage IV, multiple bone and marrow metastases.

We fought a long and exhausting fight with all our strength, holding on to one hope ... Unfortunately, treatment back home did not bring results, and Zuzia was getting weaker and weaker. The therapy took us to the brink - the worst could come anytime! Almost overnight, we have decided to leave and continue treatment in Barcelona. Research is underway, we will get to know a detailed treatment plan soon, but we are already aware that cost of saving our daughter's life will be enormous. A huge amount of funds must be collected as soon as possible, otherwise treatment will be discontinued. Here and now - full mobilization needed! Your support brings us hope - at this point, the only kind left for saving our child's life and health.
