Only surgery can save her life! A fight with a brain tumor continues—please help!

My name is Magda, and I am 36 years old. I never thought I would be asking you for help… However, we cannot predict what life brings us. For me, it was a terrible diagnosis. Please, give me a chance to defeat cancer! My time is running out…

I am suffering from a malignant brain tumor that has already affected most of my left hemisphere and continues to grow fast! Only a non-reimbursed surgery by dr Witold Libionka in Kluczbork clinic (Poland) can save my life! I am married and have a 5-year-old son Nicholas. 

I need to live for them! I must survive… I am asking you for help from the bottom of my heart…

The cost of surgery is ca. 100,000 Polish zlotys. I only have a couple of days left to collect that enormous amount of funds… This is the reason I am here to ask for your support. Any little donation counts! 

The procedure to remove the tumor is just the tip of the iceberg. It will make my further treatment possible, though! Apart from surgery, I will also require radiation therapy, chemotherapy, physical therapy, and medications… 

It all started 9 years ago. My whole world fell apart on 18 October 2013, when I was diagnosed with brain cancer. My plans for the future were wrecked in one day. A month later, I underwent my first surgery to remove the tumor. However, it resulted in serious complications: I developed an infection, so it was necessary to perform another surgery to remove a piece of skull bone, replaced with an artificial plate during the third surgery. 

Unfortunately, there was a cancer recurrence! 

The tumor has doubled in size, continues to grow rapidly, and is life-threatening. 

Currently, it causes pressure on numerous areas of the brain, resulting in daily seizures, right hemiparesis, and affecting sight. If I fail to undergo surgery to remove the tumor immediately, I will not survive…

I love my life and I have so much to accomplish! I cannot sit and wait for the worst to happen! My son needs me…

My biggest dream is to recover and have a chance to live a normal life again. It is not much, yet it is so hard to reach… I just wish I could see my little son grow up, play with him, walk him to school and enjoy time spent with our family…

My everyday life is full of pain, suffering, and fear of death… It is a nightmare I want to wake up from. 

Before the diagnosis, I had a happy, peaceful life. I worked at university and developed my professional and scientific interests. I was always passionate about literature, so I wrote critical reviews and popular science articles. I was learning foreign languages. I was healthy and active and started the day with a smile. Due to cancer, it all stopped, and my life turned into the worst nightmare… 

Despite my dramatic struggle, I still believe that thanks to you, I will be able to return to my old self and pursue my dreams!
