Fundraiser description
When Anielka was born, no one suspected that her life would be such a difficult and uneven fight. At first, she was developing in her own pace but we started noticing, more and more often, that something was not right. She was not crawling, did not make attempts to stand up and did not have the same reactions as her peers. At that time, our long journey, full of anxiety and uncertainty, began.
After many consultations, there was a diagnosis: focal epilepsy. For parents, it sounds like a sentence. Even before we were able to come to terms with this information, the doctors started suspecting a genetic disorder, Rett syndrome. They ordered genetic tests that are to confirm or rule out the worst scenarios.

Anielka is currently two years old. She does not walk, speak or communicate in a way that we could understand. We start each day with antiepileptic drugs and exercise. Rehabilitation, physiotherapy, neurological speech therapy and sensory integration therapy are a part of her everyday life. Although she is tired and demotivated at times, she always fights bravely.

The smallest progress or hand movement, look or a gesture are a great joy and a sign that this fight is not pointless. However, Anielka needs constant specialist care and therapies to make sure her progress does not stop. All the funds from this fundraiser will be used for further treatment and neurological diagnostics, rehabilitation and supportive therapies, antiepileptic drugs, genetic tests and consultations with specialist and to cover the cost of transportation to the facilities in Gdańsk.
Each day Anielka shows as that despite the pain and limitations, she can still smile. Please, help us fight for her future.
