The first intra-arterial chemo is behind us... are the next ones going to be possible? I don’t know. So little time and so much more money is needed. If Tymek doesn’t continue the chemo treatments, we would be letting the cancer win.

So we keep on fighting. Tymek is so brave, but without you we don’t stand a chance.

I am begging you, please help…

My son Tymek is only 2 years old... He also suffers from very rare type of cancer which attacked his eye and may attack his brain as well! Our fight with cancer continues. We're fighting for my son's sight, his health and his life! It's all thanks to your support that we are in the clinic in the USA, where Tymek's treatment began. After tests were run, the doctor decided to begin intra-arterial chemotherapy immediately. There are 4 rounds planned, each one costs over 100,000 PLN (~$30,000 USD)... I am begging for your help to save my child’s life. Without you we don't have a chance...

Cancer has ruined our life, it changed it forever, it took our happy everyday life away from us. It all began with a tiny white spot in Tymek's eye, and then the diagnosis – retinoblastoma, stage four, the most advanced... The type of cancer that only targets little children... With the diagnosis came the risk of cancer spreading to the bones, brain, and the eye socket. Next was the oncology department and chemotherapy. My Tymek wasn't himself. He was so vulnerable, weak, he has lost all his hair. My son's case turned out to be more serious than initially assessed... The doctors were helpless and the only solution offered was an eye amputation. However, the amputation wouldn't guarantee a victory over cancer, but it would only cripple my son for life!

Tymek is my everything. I can't even imagine losing him...

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the USA, a clinic that specializes in treating retinoblastoma came to our rescue. Dr. Abramson – a world-famous ophthalmologist, who has been treating retinoblastoma for years and has saved many children’s sight – accepted Tymek as his patient. We were told to come to the USA as soon as possible. Everything happened so fast.. March 22nd. The day of the tests. We met the doctor – wonderful, kind man... We talked to him for a long time before and after the tests. He promised to do everything in his power to save Tymek. However, to make it possible, a broader and more invasive treatment is needed. He decided to treat Tymek with intra-arterial chemotherapy. Tymek will need 4 doses to give him the best chances to fight the cancer.

The money we have already collected is enough to cover the treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center – medical care, genetic tests, PET, resonances, progress tests, eye injections, cryotherapy and lasers. But we don't have the money to cover the costs of intra-arterial chemotherapy which will take place in a different hospital, New York-Presbyterian The University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell, and will be performed by a neurosurgeon. This is why we have to ask for your help once again...

The first intra-arterial chemotherapy is on Wednesday, March 28th. We can't wait, the cancer doesn't give us any pauses. By saving Tymek’s eye, the doctors will also save his life. Yesterday I got a message about the cancer's advancement – the worst type of tumors, E stage. I'm terrified... But I still have hope. Since the day of diagnosis, I have been dying out of fear for my son. Now, for the first time I'm not as scared... I know my son's life is in the best specialists' hands. As a mother, I feel it in my heart.

If you hadn't helped us, Tymek wouldn't have his eye – we left for the US right before the scheduled eye amputation. Now we have our only chance to defeat cancer. We're in the middle of the fight. With your help we won one battle. There's one more left – the last and the most important one...

When I look into these two tiny eyes, I repeat over and over how much I love them. I'm grateful that we can be here... So I'm begging to help us collect the funds for the chemo! Please, let Tymek see for himself how beautiful the world is and how much good is around him...
