Malignant TUMOUR❗️Save 1-year-old Filip’s life!

Critically URGENT! Prostate cancer in a little boy! This terrifying disease attacked my only child! I am begging for help, our time is running out! 

In June, Filipek celebrated his first birthday and absolutely nothing indicated that he is sick. Our weekend at grandma’s was interrupted by a very sharp stomach pain. Our son cried and was overwhelmed with pain. It was Saturday and we rushed to hospital. Even in my worst nightmares I could not predict what I was going to hear next...After double abdominal ultrasound examination the doctor told me that Filipek had a tumour in his stomach, in the size of his bladder… Time slowed down and our world fell apart. 

The doctors conducted many tests. During biopsy a central line and a urinary catheter were inserted into our son’s body. We still did not know what we had to face. Time was of the essence and without preliminary test results we could not start treatment... 

The biopsy of the tumour confirmed that it was prostate cancer. Currently, my son is after 7 cycles of chemotherapy. It was a  very difficult time, 9 really long weeks, nights without sleep and many hours of crying over my son… Filipek has not been tolerating chemotherapy well, his gastrointestinal tract is irritated, he stopped eating… He is not the same careless boy anymore. 

Helplessness and malaise keep me company every day…Our life revolves around hospitals, procedures, cycles of chemotherapy, drawing blood, transfusions, antibiotics, hectolitres of fluids administered to my son and crying a sea of tears And it was all for nothing because chemotherapy is not working! Diagnosis in children that are the same age as Filip, is so rare that there is no clinic in Poland that could help my son. 

The only chance to leave this hell is surgery and tumour-directed radiotherapy that may be conducted in a German clinic. However, the transport and treatment are very expensive. If by any chance we raise the funds, we will go there in January.

I have helped others many times. Never, even in my worst nightmares, had I thought I would find myself in need of help. That I would hear this horrific diagnosis. Now, instead of supporting a Fundraiser of someone’s child, I am looking at the suffering of my own son and I have no choice but to beg for Your help.

His childhood should not look like this...In a hospital room, with wires connected to his body, I.V. cannula, pain and suffering. Filipek is only 17 months old and has a whole life ahead of him...As I mother, I am begging You with all my heart – please help me save my son.
