Fundraiser description

This fundraiser is my last hope, it's my cry for help, begging for a chance to live... My spine is killing me. I can't breathe anymore. I have to be attached to a respirator 24 hours a day. How long will my body last? Without back surgery I don't have much time… My life has a price. That's the price of an operation at a US clinic. An operation that has already saved Maja and that can save me! If only I can collect an unimaginably large sum... In a gesture of despair I beg for help. You are my only hope!

I suffer from high-degree thoracolumbar kyphoscoliosis. For a year now, my condition has got worse dramatically, the disease is progressing faster than ever before! Moving around and carrying out everyday activities is a huge problem for me. Not to mention breathing... Today I require 24/7 oxygen therapy. Without specialized equipment, oxygen saturation drops drastically... My only salvation is an immediate operation in the USA, which costs a fortune...

I have never asked for help in my life, but the situation in which I find myself now leaves me no choice. I know that without the help of people with great hearts, without your help, I may not be here soon ...

My history:

When I was born, I was an example of health. It was only in elementary school when scoliosis was diagnosed... Despite my hard work and exercise, the disease progressed, and so at the age of 12 an operation was necessary, which involved inserting implants on both sides of the spine. After the surgery, I enjoyed a happy life for a year, but one night I was awakened by a strong pain in my spine. There was no way out - another surgery to remove the implants, and then one more, which involved the insertion of a special hoist.

I spent over 3 weeks in the hospital. The lift made me grow by 10 cm. Another implant, a plaster corset, and then it turned out that there was a pressure ulcer on the left shoulder blade. I treated it for a year…

They took my corset off when I was 15. I was about to undergo an operation, but it never happened. I was growing, as a result of which I was in danger of piercing the cervical implant. I had to be careful until the operation in 2006. Six months after the surgery, my condition began to deteriorate. An oxygen concentrator was needed and I spent 8 to 12 hours under it every day. This was the case until the beginning of February 2009.

At one point, I felt very bad. I was weak, my nails and lips turned blue. I was taken to the hospital. There was a cardiac arrest... They rescued me and found bilateral pneumonia. I was in a pharmacological coma for a week. Nobody gave me a chance to survive.

I don't know how, but I survived. Subsequent tests showed sleep apnea, I had to be intubated. I returned home with specialized equipment that breathed for me during the night.

Seeing how my kyphoscoliosis was progressing, I was still looking for a specialist. One of the doctors stated that he would not undertake the operation because I would land on a wheelchair. Years passed, the pressure on my lungs was increasing and my saturation was getting worse. In 2019, I went to an appointment with an orthopedist, he ordered me to be examined and declared that he will risk treatment.

After the examination, it turned out that despite my 32 years old I suffer from advanced osteoporosis! After a month, I went back to the orthopedist for consultation with my results. I had to wait for my admission to the hospital. Months passed and I didn't get any reply. My condition worsened ...

My life is all about limitations. I can't go for a walk, meet my friends or ride a bike. Often I can't even get to the bathroom alone... Due to osteoporosis, every day carries risks. I can't wait any longer. My spine can't take it!

The only chance for me is a very costly operation in the United States, where I will be provided with the best equipment and outstanding specialists. My surgery has been valued at over PLN 5 million... A cosmic amount, and necessary to be collected in a short time. Where is the average person supposed to get such money? It's impossible... That's why this fundraiser, that's why my cry for help...

Please, I am begging you for support. Despite the enormous amount to be raised, I must hope that it will succeed. I will not get another chance ...
