 Julie's mother: When other mothers were happy to prepare layettes for their future children, I prayed that my beloved daughter would make it... Julia was diagnosed prenatally with a comple heart defect. When the baby girl was born, she was breathing very poorly. It was necessary to support her with two supportive breaths... Seconds lasted forever and a day!

 After birth, we heard a different diagnosis than previously made. Juliet is suffering from a transposition of the great arteries with ventricular inversion, a large interventricular defect in the heart and the stricture of the outflow from the left ventricle to the pulmonary artery. It is a rare and complex heart defect. In addition, all organs are reversed as in mirror image.

 I knew that we would live in the shadow that is called a heart defect... I also knew that I would do everything to save my daughter and give her a chance for a wonderful life. Initially, the doctors wanted to make a single ventricle heart. After a heart catheterization, which was carried out around Julie's second birthday, the idea has been abandoned-physicians qualified my daughter for observation only.

 Julie turned 11 in April. Unfortunately, we can see that her little heart is weaker and weaker and is inefficient in pumping the blood... She tolerates physical exertion very badly. Since her birth we take measure of the level of blood saturation with oxygen. For a healthy person the level of blood saturation is about 100%. During Julie's last illness, this saturation dropped to 76%. Pulmonary stenosis is slowly but steadily progressing.

He is the chief of cardiac surgery at Boston's Children Hospital .He will operate Julie's heart using the anatomical repair method-Double-Switch. After surgery in the USA Julie's heart will keep beating!

Without surgery, Julie's condition wil deteriorate... Without treatment her life is at risk. Julia is exposed to numerous complications caused by mixing of blood between the pulmonary and systemic parts of the circulatory system.
