Laura and Dominik are siblings with autism, they do not speak. For eight years, Dominik has been suffering from drug-resistant epilepsy. Medications do not help, and every epileptic seizure causes further damage to his brain… I had already lost hope that my children’s condition could improve, that there was still anything I could do for them. But now that hope has been reborn! The costs, however, are enormous, which is why I am asking for your help with all my heart.

Every day I look at my children and know one thing: I would do anything for them. I would give them my own health, my own life, if it could make their suffering stop. Laura and Dominik depend entirely on me. And every single day I fight to make their world just a little bit better.

For years I was told that I had to accept their condition, that “nothing more can be done.” I watched as successive epileptic seizures destroyed Dominik’s brain, taking away his chance for development and for a future. I watched Laura, who wants so desperately to communicate with me and with the world, but cannot. This is a kind of helplessness that cannot be put into words.

When I learned about neurocytotron therapy, for the first time in a long while I felt something I had almost forgotten — hope.
