Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting the previous fundraiser. I bought a wheelchair that has changed much in my everyday life. Today I am asking for your help once again. My mother is also ill. She has been taking care of me and lifting me for many years which caused problems with her spine. She needs treatment and rehabilitation. 

Our story:

My name is Marysia and I am completely dependent on other people. I cannot dress up, take a shower or brush my hair on my own... I cannot even eat without help. It is my biggest tragedy.

I have been living with cerebral palsy for 34 years and it almost entirely takes control over my body. I cannot walk or sit on my own, I cannot speak...My communication with the world is only by mimics, sometimes sounds that no one can understand...A board on which I can point letters with my eyes is the only way to be understood.

I am fully mentally capable.

The wheelchair financed from the previous fundraiser made my life a bit easier. I did not realize how much it could help me until I started using it.

Now I can sit comfortably and adjust my position with one button when I slip down. I can use the joystick and move on my own. My strolls are more pleasant and easier now both for me and the person accompanying me. The wheelchair has a function that allows me to lay down and rest.

My beloved mother takes care of me but she is ill herself. She has issues with her spine and joints and is in great pain.

It was caused by lifting. She cannot help me – as she had been until recently – to support my paralysed body when I am sliding down to the floor... In these situations, my mum used to hold my 40-kilogram body but now each move causes her pain.

And I am suffering because I know that I cannot make up for the years of sacrifices, especially now, when she needs help so much. 

We tried to do it on our own...However, I have no choice but to ask for your help. The costs of nanosurgery and my and my mum’s treatment and rehabilitation are exorbitant. I trust you will be with us! I dream that things would be easier for my mother. It will be possible thanks to you!
