We led a regular, happy life. Me, my wife, and three wonderful children. Our youngest child is only 7. I have never expected that we would have to face such tragedy. At the beginning of this year, our world fell apart...

It started in January – visual disturbances, loss of consciousness while travelling… I ended up in hospital. I had the diagnosis a month later. I will never forget the moment when I heard that it was glioblastoma. It came to me as a shock…

Life-saving treatment started – neurosurgery during which the entire tumour was dissected. Then, radio- and chemotherapy which is to last to the end of the year.

When I received the histopathology report, there were no doubts – glioblastoma, grade 4, the highest grade of malignancy… For the patients like me, the prognosis is not good… Only 10% chance to survive 5 years since the diagnosis… I could not accept that and I started looking for help.

During an additional consultation I learned about TTFields therapy that increases the survival rate to 40%. It is the only chance for me. And although the treatment is very expensive, I will do anything to live.
