We are fighting for Wojtus’s life❗️Leukemia has metastasized, and there’s a 14cm tumor in his lungs❗️

A while ago, Wojtus got sick. He developed a stomachache, dyspnea, cough, and fever (above 39 degrees). We felt that something bad was happening with him. He was rushed to the emergency room in Wieliczka and then Krakow, where a large tumor was found in his chest! 

The tumor in Wojtus’s lungs was 14cm in diameter! We were shocked! How on earth did this happen? Wojtus underwent several tests. The diagnosis sounded like a sentence - acute lymphoblastic leukemia, which had spread to the lungs and formed a tumor there. 

Since November 2025, Wojtus has been hospitalized. He underwent many painful treatments and several rounds of chemotherapy. Christmas was different this year… Although Santa visited our son, unpacking presents under the hospital room lights instead of Christmas tree lights at home wasn’t magical at all. 

Although treatments have reduced the tumor, our journey is just beginning. Wojtus is weakened from therapy and swollen from steroids. Our energetic boy has changed, and we worry he may never fully recover. 

That’s not all… When Wojtus was little, he was diagnosed with autism. All those years we thought that would be our biggest challenge… All we worried about was his developmental delay. We were so naive! 

Thanks to developmental therapy, Wojtus is able to communicate his feelings and emotions to us. Unfortunately, it makes his pain even more unbearable to us. He tells us how much his legs hurt after the chemo and steroids, and we cannot do anything to ease his pain! 

We always thought there was a limit to the amount of misfortune a child could take. And now, a concern over our son’s milestones turned into a fear of losing him! Leukemia took away almost everything - his strength, joy, carefreeness, and a chance to develop!

We wish that parental love could conquer everything. We do our best to care for Wojtus and provide him with safety on the way back from the chemo. Unfortunately, the costs of treatment, therapy, and adapting our home to his needs exceed our financial capabilities. Our living conditions are another reason for our concern…

Our house requires remodeling because it’s too small to fit our son’s needs. He requires a separate, safe, and sterile space to stay between treatments.This is why we must add another room to the existing building. 

Day and night, we are constantly scared. Wojtus suffers and cries from the pain. We are helpless! We are asking for your support from the bottom of our hearts. Any donation matters! Your kind gesture gives us a chance for the life and future of our son!
