Ear for Amelia

In October 2022, our sweet little Amelka came into the world. But her start in life was tougher than we ever imagined. She was born with some serious problems with her left ear, and we only found out when she was born. As her parents, all we want is for her to have the same chances as other kids – especially when it comes to hearing. But getting her there is going to take a lot of money, and that's why we're reaching out to you for help.

Our baby girl was born with a condition called microtia and atresia of the left ear.

Microtia means her ear didn't form properly, and atresia means she's missing the ear canal, so she can't hear properly. Right now, she's too little for doctors to do much testing, so we don't know exactly what's going on inside her ear.

But there's hope! There's a special surgery they can do in the United States that could give Amelka the chance to hear like any other kid. But here's the hard part – it costs a ton of money. Right now, we need $106,000 just for the surgery, and we'll have to stay in the States for three weeks afterward for check-ups.

This surgery is so important because Amelka's hearing problem could cause all sorts of other issues as she grows up – with talking, moving, and even seeing. They say they can do the surgery when she's four, but we need to start raising money now.

If we can pull this off, our little girl could have a normal childhood. She won't even remember all the struggles she had when she was born. As her parents, we're just trying to do everything we can to make sure she has the best life possible.

But even aside from the surgery, all the appointments and therapies she needs are already costing us a lot. We're talking visits to ear doctors, hearing specialists, physical therapists, and speech therapists. We're asking for your help because together, we can give Amelka the chance she deserves.
