Dear friends across the globe!
We've met in various circumstances. I may know you from my childhood times, from school, university (your Erasmus in Toruń), playground, beach... or we're just penpals. You know me pretty well - I am not the one who asks for help very often. But today, I am asking - not for myself, but for a little girl who won't survive without our support.
Celinka is just 6 months old and her parents cannot afford a tratment for the fatal disease she was diagnosed with - SMA type 1. Without help, she'll probably die in one or two years. But she can live. The treatment exists and has been proved effective, the only obstacle is a huge amount of money we need to gather.
If you're willing to help my friends' daughter, I'd be forever thankful. Remember you can always count on me when you'll need help.

"SMA takes our daugher’s life! We can’t lose her! Please help!
We are fighting a fatal disease of our daughter!
Celinka has just been born and she’s already facing a death sentence because of SMA – spinal muscular atrophy. Our 5 months old daughter is getting weaker every day and we don’t know what tomorrow will bring! But we know one thing – if we wait, doing nothing, the worst may come. Gene therapy is a chance to stop SMA and save Celinka’s life, but it’s extremely expensive. Our daughter’s life was estimated for 10 milion of Polish zloty (2,1 milion Euro)! You are our hope and we ask you for help to pay for the SMA therapy. When it comes to the gene therapy, time is important, because the earlier it is used, the better results it gives. Despite of many hours of tiring rehabilitation, Celinka can still smile beautifully and we want to see this smile until the end of our days! We are doing everything we can for Celinka but without the support of people with tender hearts we could not help her in the fight. Therefore, please – be with us…
