Infomatycy na Rowery jadą dla Daniela!

"Informatycy Na Rowery" is an initiative born out of a passion for cycling and a desire to help children in need.

It all started in 2012 when five IT specialists from Squiz decided to combine their strengths and skills for a noble cause by cycling the Odra-Nysa trail, from the Czech Republic to Szczecin. Back then, their charitable expedition aimed to support Martynka Wójtowicz in her battle against spinal muscular atrophy.

Since then, 12 years have passed, and the initiative has evolved into an annual event that gains popularity and significance with each passing year.

Every year, participants choose a new goal, both in terms of the route and the person they want to help. In this way, through their dedication and effort, they strive to fulfill the dreams of those who need it most.

The first expedition along the Odra-Nysa trail was just the beginning of a long journey undertaken by 'Informatycy Na Rowery' (IT Professionals on Bikes). Each subsequent edition brings new challenges, new routes, and new individuals whom participants aim to help. Over these 12 years, they have covered thousands of kilometers and frequently stepped outside their comfort zones. They have inspired themselves and their acquaintances with a passion for cycling.

Each expedition is carefully planned and prepared with a specific charitable goal in mind. Participants, mainly IT professionals, combine their passion for cycling with a desire to help others, creating a unique community full of empathy and determination.

 

This year, during the XIV edition, participants will ride nearly 500 kilometers and conquer 10,000 meters of elevation along the Poland Gravel Race route - from Przemyśl through the Bieszczady, Pieniny, and Tatras all the way to Zakopane. The goal of the expedition is to raise funds to purchase a specialized bike for Daniel from Dobra, who dreams of it due to his autism-related needs.

'Informatycy Na Rowery' is not just a physical challenge but above all proof that through collective action, much good can be achieved. Each expedition is a step towards a better tomorrow for someone who truly needs it. It's an initiative that brings together people from the IT industry and demonstrates that together, we can make dreams come true.
