WHY IS HELP SO IMPORTANT?

In Ukraine, over 64,000 children are in the care of foster families and over 98,000 are in institutional care.
SOS Ukraine staff predict that 16,000 of them will soon need immediate support related to finding safe shelter, arranging transportation, food, medical and psychological assistance. Please support us so that we can provide direct assistance to abandoned children and foster families in Ukraine.

SOS CHILDREN'S VILLAGES UKRAINE ALERT - THE SITUATION OF CHILDREN FROM ORPHANAGES IS DRAMATIC! SOS

Ukraine alerts that the situation in thousands of orphanages in Ukraine is extremely difficult. Educators have left their charges because they are fighting at the front or have evacuated with their families. SOS Ukraine is urgently organising help and resources to provide care for children abandoned by their tutors. They will be financially supported by SOS Children's Villages International and SOS Children's Villages in Poland. SOS Children's Villages in Ukraine is currently operating as a group of several organisations with which information is exchanged about children who have been left unattended, or who lack food in their homes. The organisation that is closest to the situation takes care of it. If the place is under fire, the Territorial Defence reaches it. Currently, the evacuation and removal of children from foster care is coordinated between the two countries. Transport is organised for children in a way that is safe at the moment. Efforts are being made to transport them from the eastern part of Ukraine to the west and further to Poland.
