This is CD PROJEKT X-mas Charity Fundraiser for Ocalenie Foundation.
Ocalenie Foundation has been operating since 2000. The organization supports refugees and migrants living in Poland, offering assistance with day-to-day tasks, like renting a flat or enrolling a child into a kindergarten, as well as specialized legal, psychological and social support and employment counselling. The Foundation also provides educational support to refugee and migrant children, offers housing and integration programs and provides in-kind assistance for refugees.
One of the key activities of the Foundation are free Polish courses for foreigners. Since August 2023, the courses have been held on the campus of CD PROJEKT, where participants have a comfortable working and learning environment. These are the largest free Polish language courses available in Poland, offered in three trimesters annually. Over 500 individuals were enrolled in the first two trimesters of 2024, with a total of 1542 class hours. For many migrants facing financial constraints, these courses represent the only opportunity to learn Polish, which is essential for integration, functioning in the job market or participation in society.
Since mid-August 2021, Ocalenie has been present at Polish-Belarussian border, providing humanitarian help to asylum seekers trapped there. The Foundation also offers legal assistance to those people who managed to submit their applications for international protection in Poland and their asylum applications are now pending.
From the first days of Russia's invasion on Ukraine Ocalenie was present on the Polish-Ukrainian border and ready to help refugees. They managed to help thousands of people fleeing Ukraine (providing shelter, setting up playrooms and safe spaces for children, increasing the amount of regular assistance provided to refugees).
The Foundation's activity in response to the humanitarian crisis at the border and the war, and long-term integration efforts would not be possible without generous donations. Each one is highly appreciated.
