Michasia is just over 2 years old. Her medical documentation is a thick file of medical examinations. Her health problems began when she was still developing under her mother’s heart, unaware of any concerns. The joyful expectation of coming into the world was brutally disrupted. Now, after years of fighting for our daughter’s life, we know we can’t give up. We are one fundraiser apart from a crucial heart surgery in Boston, a fundraiser of over a million Polish zlotys…

We have been informed that our child has a criss-cross heart, which is in danger because of its abnormal structure. When doctors presented us with a long list of heart conditions and complications caused by them, we felt as if our feet were cut out from under us… Horror was the only thing we felt…

Since her first moments in this world, Michalinka’s life has been an unequal struggle. We were thrilled to be able to hold her in our hands after she’d been incubated for a week. It was hard to believe that her little heart was about to have its first surgery. A moment of hope for improvement, a bit of joy, as our daughter displayed surprising and enormous strength. Unfortunately, drastically deteriorating results and falling saturations caused our concerns to grow by the minute.

Another operation was inevitable. This time complications also occurred – after the surgery Michalinka wasn’t able to eat, so the doctors were forced to use a feeding tube. This is what the first months of our daughter’s life looked like…

We found a clinic that was supposed to save our child. Thanks to your huge support in the previous collection we got a chance that Michalinka would be healthy at last. Unfortunately, all the treatment and therapy because of Covid did not take place.

This is where the clinic in Boston came to the rescue, guaranteeing a much better solution for Michalina at the moment - an operation to reconstruct her heart so that it is biventricular, not univentricular as originally planned.

We are terrified by the realization that our daughter’s life depends on the fundraiser bar. Her life costs over a million zl. Therefore, we ask for help once more. We believe that our story will touch your hearts again. We want to ask for what is beyond our reach…

We hope that we can emerge victorious from the struggle for Michalina’s life. We don’t even want to think what will happen if we don’t raise the amount we need. Every day, tear-eyed, we refresh the website, hoping that the sufficient amount will appear one day!
